About

Swiss ski cross racer who holds two FIS all-time records for men: most World Cup podiums (40, set at Montafon in March 2026) and the longest gap between a first and most recent World Cup victory (12 years, 11 months and 6 days, spanning his December 2012 breakthrough win to a shared victory with Austria's Adam Kappacher at Val Thorens in December 2024 - the first tied finish in World Cup ski cross history). At that same Montafon 2026 race he also became the oldest male athlete to podium in a World Cup ski cross event, at 40 years, 1 month and 14 days. Silver medalist at the 2022 Beijing Olympics and bronze medalist at the 2026 Milano-Cortina Games; won the 2021 World Championship (Idre Fjall) and the 2012-13 overall Crystal Globe. Switched from alpine skiing (Swiss Junior slalom bronze in 2006) to ski cross in 2007; born in Newport Beach, California to Swiss parents. Races for SC Parpan.

Records: most male World Cup ski cross podiums (40); longest gap between first and most recent World Cup win (12y 11m 6d); oldest male World Cup ski cross podium finisher (40y 1m 14d, Montafon 2026).
