Terms
Terms of use
Last updated 31 October 2026
By using SkiSetups you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose. SkiSetups is run by Niklas Bäcklund, based in the Netherlands.
What the site is
SkiSetups is a reference that records the equipment professional ski and snowboard athletes compete on. It is information, not advice, and not a buying guide.
Accuracy, and safety
We record equipment from public sources and check it, but athletes change gear often, brands change their models, and sources go out of date. An entry can be wrong or out of date. If you find one, tell us.
Never set ski-binding release values, or make any other safety decision, from this site. A DIN value or a boot flex shown here is what an athlete reportedly uses. It does not suit you. Have bindings and boots set by a qualified technician.
Brands, trademarks and affiliation
Brand, product and athlete names are used here to identify them, and belong to their owners. SkiSetups is not affiliated with, and is not endorsed or sponsored by, any athlete, team, federation (including FIS) or brand.
Links and commissions
Where an entry links to a product page, it is a reference to a source, and is labelled as one. At the time of writing, no link on the site earns SkiSetups a commission. If that ever changes, those links will be clearly marked and this page updated.
Using the content
The text of the site and the way the database is arranged belong to Niklas Bäcklund unless a page says otherwise. You are welcome to quote short extracts and to link to any page, with a credit. Search engines and AI assistants that cite SkiSetups with a link are welcome too. Please do not copy the database in bulk, scrape it at a rate that burdens the site, or republish it as your own. If you want to use the data more widely, ask.
Photos have their own licences (Creative Commons or public domain), shown with each photo together with the author. Reuse them under those licences and with that credit, not under these terms.
Liability
The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, SkiSetups and its operator are not liable for any loss that comes from using the information on it. Nothing here limits a liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
Dutch law applies to these terms, and the courts of the Netherlands decide any dispute, without taking away consumer rights that apply to you under the law where you live.
Changes
If these terms change, we update this page and the date at the top.
