Corrections
Spot an error? Tell us
SkiSetups is a reference, and a reference is only worth using if it is right. Athletes change gear in the middle of a season, brands rename models, and sources go out of date, so mistakes will happen. When one is reported we fix it.
How to report one
Email [email protected] with:
- the address of the page (or the athlete or product name),
- what is wrong, and what you believe is right,
- a source if you have one: an official brand or team page, a federation listing, a photo, an interview.
Every athlete page has a "Report a correction" link that opens an email with the page already filled in.
What we do with it
We compare the report with the sources behind the entry and with others we can find, starting with primary ones: the brand's own page, the federation, the athlete or team. If the entry is wrong we correct it and reply to say what changed. If we cannot confirm it either way, we say so on the page rather than guess. Where a brand is known but the exact model is not, the entry says that too.
We aim to reply within a few working days. A request about personal data is always answered within one month. Athlete pages show the date a setup was last verified.
Athletes and their representatives
SkiSetups publishes public information about named professional athletes: sport, results, sponsors, the equipment they use and, where an open licence allows, a photograph. If you are an athlete, or you act for one, you can ask us to correct, update or remove information about you, or to remove a photo. We will do it, or tell you why we cannot. Writing from an address linked to the athlete, their team or their agent helps us act quickly.
You can also use the rights described in the privacy policy.
Brands
If a model, a spec or a description of your product is wrong, send the correct one with a link to where it is published. SkiSetups does not take payment to change or add entries.
