About
Canadian cross-country skier (Club Skinouk) from Gatineau, Quebec; both of his parents were also cross-country skiers. Won the sprint at the January 2022 Canadian Championships to qualify automatically for Beijing 2022, and was named to Canada's Olympic team again for Milano Cortina 2026 (announced Dec. 19, 2025). Alongside partner Graham Ritchie, delivered the best men's classic team sprint result in Canadian Olympic history (5th, 2022 Beijing) and matched Canada's best-ever World Championship team sprint result (4th, freestyle, 2023 Planica). At Milano Cortina 2026 he and Xavier McKeever placed 6th in the men's team sprint free, and Cyr raced the second leg as Canada finished 5th in the men's 4x7.5km relay — the nation's best-ever Olympic cross-country relay result — alongside McKeever, Rémi Drolet and Tom Stephen.
Framed in the 'about' field as Canada's best-ever result rather than an official 'record,' since no governing body maintains a formal team-sprint record list.
