About

French biathlete (CSN Villard de Lans) from Grenoble, and a five-time World Champion (10 World Championship medals, 2019-2025) known as the 'Pursuit King' for his signature come-from-behind pursuit victories, including back-to-back World Championship pursuit golds (2020, 2021) and the 2019-20 Pursuit discipline crystal globe. Two-time Olympic medalist (silver in the 2022 Beijing relay and mixed relay; bronze in the individual pursuit plus relay gold at the 2026 Milano-Cortina Games). Sat 5th in the 2025-26 World Cup overall standings.

Currently on a self-described career pause as of mid-2026: after the Olympics he began racing professionally as a road cyclist (NewGen Decathlon CMA-CGM team, from August 2026). He has said his biathlon career is not over and is weighing a return for the 2026-27 season, with the 2030 Olympics as a stated goal: a pause, not a retirement.
