American ski mountaineer based in Tahoe City, California, originally from Walnut Creek. The first person to ski Mount Everest's Hornbein Couloir (October 2025) and, with the late Hilaree Nelson, the first to ski Lhotse's Lhotse Couloir (2018), which earned him National Geographic's Adventurer of the Year. Also runs a custom home-building business in Tahoe.

On October 15, 2025, Morrison became the first person ever to ski Mount Everest's Hornbein Couloir on the North Face via the treacherous 'Super Direct' route (only completed by 5 climbers before him, none since 1991), a 12,000-ft descent in 4 hours 5 minutes that National Geographic co-director Jimmy Chin called 'the skiing equivalent of free soloing.' This followed Morrison and the late Hilaree Nelson's first-ever ski descent of Lhotse's Lhotse Couloir in 2018 (which won Morrison National Geographic's Adventurer of the Year) and their first American ski descent of India's Papsura Peak in 2017. His sponsors are The North Face (apparel) and Black Crows (skis, poles, skins and pack), including the Duos Freebird poles, Pilus Camox Freebird Touring skins and Dorsa 27 pack.
