About
American big-mountain freeskier born Alexis duPont, February 16, 1989, in Sun Valley, Idaho. A member of the du Pont family (descendant of DuPont chemical company founder Eleuthere Irenee du Pont) and daughter of pioneering freestyle skier Holley duPont. One of Warren Miller Entertainment's most recurring athletes with six film credits across 14 years, plus credits with Poor Boyz Productions and National Geographic.
'Wintervention' (2010), 'Chasing Shadows' (2015), 'Line of Descent' (2017), 'Future Retro' (2020), 'Daymaker' (2022), and '75' (2024); making her one of the studio's most recurring athletes, not a one-off feature. Born Alexis duPont on February 16, 1989, in Sun Valley, Idaho; she's also a member of the du Pont family, a descendant of Eleuthere Irenee du Pont, founder of the DuPont chemical company -- a notable detail the flat claim omits entirely. Her mother, freestyle skier Holley duPont, was one of the first women to land a backflip on skis. A former Junior Olympics ski racer and University of Colorado Boulder Free Style Team member (fine art major), she placed top-10 overall on the Freeskiing World Tour in 2009-2010 and 4th at Red Bull Cold Rush in 2012. Beyond Warren Miller, she's appeared in Poor Boyz Productions' 'Tracing Skylines' (2013, Powder Award nominee for Best Female Performance) and 'Twenty' (2014), the all-female film 'Pretty Faces' (2014), and National Geographic's 'Powder Highway' webisodes. She holds first ski descents in Svalbard, Norway and southeastern Alaska, is a licensed pilot, and coaches Jackson Hole's Teton Village Ski Team. Sponsored historically by Eddie Bauer's First Ascent team (signed 2010).
