Pehota, a Pemberton, BC native raised in the Coastal Mountains and the son of big-mountain ski pioneer Eric Pehota, made his first major film appearance in MSP's 'Superheroes of Stoke' (2012). He also made a serious name for himself on the Freeride World Tour, winning his rookie-year stop at Haines, Alaska in 2016 with a line featuring a stylish 360 -- good enough for 2nd overall on the tour that season (not 1st, per Downdays' and Forecast Ski's contemporaneous reporting), setting up a showdown with tour leader Loic Collomb-Patton at the Verbier final. Equipment: per SBC Skier's gear feature (quoting Pehota directly), he rides the Rossignol Blackops Sender Ti, a switch from the Squad 7 he used in previous years -- he describes it as 'like a remastered Squad 7,' with a shorter length that makes pillow and tree-skiing lines more maneuverable.
