About

Brazilian World Cup alpine ski racer (slalom, giant slalom) born in Oslo to a Norwegian father and Brazilian mother; raced for Norway from his Dec 2018 World Cup debut until announcing retirement on 27 Oct 2023 (that season's SL discipline champion). Returned to racing on 7 March 2024 under the Brazilian flag instead, and exactly a year after his retirement announcement scored the first-ever World Cup points for Brazil in alpine skiing (4th, GS, Soelden, 27 Oct 2024). Won Brazil's first World Cup race the following season (slalom, Levi, 16 Nov 2025), added giant slalom wins at Kranjska Gora (7 Mar 2026) and at the World Cup Finals in Hafjell/Lillehammer (24 Mar 2026), and claimed the men's giant slalom Crystal Globe there - Brazil's first Crystal Globe in any discipline and his own second overall (after the 2023 slalom title). Carried the Brazilian flag at the Milano-Cortina 2026 opening ceremony alongside Nicole Silveira, then won Olympic giant slalom gold on 14 Feb 2026 - the first Winter Olympics medal ever for Brazil, for South America, and for any tropical nation.

Career World Cup record (through 2025-26): 6 wins (4 SL, 2 GS), 22 podiums (13 SL, 9 GS), 2 discipline Crystal Globes (SL 2023, GS 2025-26). Norwegian federation career (2018-2023) and Brazilian career (2024-present) are tracked as one continuous World Cup record by FIS/Wikipedia despite the nationality switch. Public relationship with Brazilian actress Isadora Cruz since June 2025.
