About
American World Cup downhill/super-G racer from Aspen, Colorado, competing independently (self-funded, no major team backing) well into his mid-30s. Made his World Cup debut on 15 Jan 2011 and paid his own way to compete at the 2018 Winter Olympics. He completed his degree at Westminster College during his recovery, then relaunched his career after forerunning at Aspen's 2022 World Cup and drawing inspiration from Johan Clarey's silver medal at age 41 at the 2022 Olympics. He now trains under coach/technician Will Gregorak on a self-funded season budget of roughly $100,000, and continued racing on the World Cup/Continental circuit through the 2025-26 season.
Wikipedia's infobox lists 'Retired: 2019', which conflicts with his active FIS status and documented 2025-26 World Cup/Continental season results (results recorded through March 2026); treated here as a stale/unmaintained infobox field rather than an actual retirement, given the extensive sourced reporting on his post-2022 comeback.
